WE WORK WITH THE PEOPLE

Picture
God helps those who help themselves. The man gets what he strives for. If the people are un-informed, we inform them about what changes are taking place around them. The well informed society, if feels necessary, strives for their uplift and improvement in their quality of life.

We help them by providing them knowledge, by building their capacity and not always search for external resources for them. Those who do not heed are left behind. They will ultimately be eliminated.

Thus we are catalyst and facilitators. we sensitize people to rise  and work hard. We shall be their advocates. We shall build bridges between haves and have -nots, and thus open opportunities for the downtrodden and marginalized people to help themselves, shun dependence and be proud to say, "We did it".

CHALLENGES

The first challenge is the education emergency that Pakistan is facing. 25 million children are being denied their basic constitutional right to a free and compulsory education. Furthermore, those who are being educated face the issue of attaining a quality education.

The second challenge is that of employment and economic prospects. According to the Next Generation Report, Pakistan will need 36 million more jobs in the next 10 years with our population increasing by 44% over the next 20! Our current unemployment rate stands in excess of 20%.

The third challenge is interactions over facebook, emails, twitter and sms the level of depression, confusion, differing perspectives and the degrees of these segmentations became hauntingly clear. There seems to be no consensus on even the most basic of issues ranging from systems of governance, education and to some extent even terrorism.

                                                    FOUNDER'S MESSAGE

We are focusing on the national development of (Azad) Jammu and Kashmir because of two major reasons: It is a conflict area, suffers from natural and inflicted catastrophes and due to uncertainty of future power balance, the nation is barren of the spirit necessary for national development. Secondly, it is full of resources that are being exploited without any plausible management. The nation is caught between two powers and struggles for its identity. It could, if properly recognized, contribute to the peace of region. Its fate oscillates between interests of external stakeholders. It merits a national identity. It can do it through national out look (a human factor) and resource management through change in attitudes and by adopting quality practices.

Kashmir Institute of National Development (KIND) was conceived in a small roadside village Chhatar Klas moranwala to mobilize the people to develop their own capability and shoulder their responsibility for the sake of their own welfare and progress through development of human resources, through protection of their environment, through balanced utilization of natural resources and through active participation in the national development initiatives.

Kashmir Institute of National Development (KIND) registers the support of state apparatus and elicits the people's partnership in creation of a civil society, to promote good governance and to give rise to social justice so as to create an egalitarian society, proud of its roots and ready to develop positive response to the call of duty, here-to-fore undefined.

We propose to develop a network of devoted social workers and persuasive activists in all the districts of AJK, not only to convey the message but also to ensure its achievement.  Beggary is not our business; we are the ones who volunteer their own time and ability to serve the nation without reward or recompense. Our actions speak louder than words. May Allah swt help us!
